Special interests
Jason is a robotic surgeon in the Queensland Robotic Surgery (QRS) Unit at Greenslopes Private Hospital and at St Andrews War Memorial Hospital. Along with extensive experience in robotic radical prostatectomies, Jason also performs robotic kidney surgery (radical nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy and pyeloplasty) and bladder surgery.
Jason utilises the latest technology in prostate cancer diagnostics including MRI guided prostate biopsy, trans-perineal prostate biopsy and PSMA scanning, providing a tertiary state-wide referral service for complex prostate cancer diagnostics.
Jason has sub specialty experience in the placement of AdVance urethral slings and inflatable penile prosthesis for the restoration of function in men. He utilises the latest devices and techniques for placement of these devices with excellent post operative outcomes.

Education and medical training
Jason graduated with first class honours from a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Queensland, earning a Dean’s award for academic excellence. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2010.
Along with training in all fields of general urology, Jason has had extensive sub-specialty fellowship training in robotic surgery, with a particular focus on minimally invasive urological oncology, along with functional restoration of urinary control and erectile function.
Other interests
Jason is a senior lecturer with the University of Queensland and is involved in teaching, training and development of medical students and doctors.
Outside of work, life is about football.
